One of my goals this month is to be more mindful of grocery spending, and this week, Iโm proud to say I kept my total grocery spend under $10. This wasnโt by chanceโit was all about leveraging what I already had stocked up from earlier in the month and stretching those purchases strategically. ๐ก
๐ท๏ธ Grocery Haul for the Week
- ๐ฅฉ Beef Belly โ $4.49 with 20% off
- ๐ฒ Tofu Block โ $1.99
- ๐ฅ Dumpling Wraps โ $1.99
These three items were the only things I bought to add to my meals. Everything else came straight from my pantry and freezer. Itโs amazing what you can create when you take inventory of what you already have! ๐
๐๏ธ Pantry & Freezer Staples
From my earlier Costco hauls and leftover supplies, I used:
- ๐ฆฌ Ground Bison (frozen)
- ๐ฅ Carrots
- ๐ถ Ponzu Sauce
- ๐ฏ Honey
- ๐ฅฌ Bok Choy
- ๐ฅ Egg Whites and Eggs
- ๐ Rice
- ๐ฆ Greek Yogurt
- ๐ฅฃ Granola
- ๐ Green beans (frozen from two weeks ago)
- ๐ค Ground shrimp (from freezer)
๐ฝ๏ธ Eats for the Week
- ๐ Beef Gyudon Bowl with Rice โ Simple yet satisfying. The beef belly cooked with onions and a touch of ponzu is perfect over steamed rice. ๐
- ๐ฒ Miso Soup โ Made with tofu, bok choy, and miso paste I already had. ๐ฅฃ
- ๐ฅ Homemade Dumplings โ I used the dumpling wraps, ground bison, and bok choy to whip up some easy dumplings.
- ๐ฏ Snacks โ Greek yogurt with granola and a drizzle of honey for some sweetness. ๐ฏ
- ๐ณ Breakfast โ Egg whites, toast, and sometimes a protein shake. ๐ฅค
๐ฐ Total Spent This Week: $8.47
By stretching my pantry and freezer items and only buying what I needed, I managed to keep my total under $10! ๐
