Life Lately

I know I’m a little late sharing this update. The truth is, I’ve been busy with family stuff and some personal things that pulled my attention away from blogging. But even though life has been full, I still made a big step forward on my debt journey in July.

And honestly? That makes this progress feel even more special.

July Payments at a Glance

Here’s where the money went this month:

  • Credit Cards: $690
  • Citi Card: $151
  • Student Loan: $114.07
  • Other Loans/Debts: $21,347.16

That adds up to a grand total of $22,302.23 paid off in July.

The Big Milestone

The standout payment this month was a $19,790.47 lump sum I used to completely knock out a secured loan. It’s gone. Done. Off my plate forever.

Seeing that account balance hit zero is a game-changer—it’s one less monthly payment to worry about, and one less piece of mental clutter hanging over my head.

Why I’m Sharing This

Debt payoff isn’t always glamorous. Most months, it feels like slow progress, and it can be hard to stay motivated. That’s why I want to celebrate moments like this—not because I’m “done” (I’m not yet), but because every step forward matters.

Even if you’re only able to put an extra $20 toward debt in a given month, that’s progress. It all adds up.

Looking Ahead

I know not every month will look like July, and that’s okay. The key is consistency. I’ll keep budgeting, tracking my spending, and throwing whatever I can at my balances.

But for now, I’m taking a moment to breathe and celebrate this big win.

Because in the middle of a long debt journey, it’s important to pause and recognize how far you’ve come.
