June was a steady month for side hustle income—not quite the $500 goal I had in mind from reselling, but still a win overall. Here’s what I earned and what I learned:
🔹 Consulting: $210
These came from smaller gigs that I squeezed in between my full-time work and everything else on my plate. Consulting continues to be a steady stream that reminds me that my skills can pay off—literally.
🔹 Reselling: $346.46 (20 items sold)
Most of my sales this month came from:
- Books I sourced last year from an estate sale (finally paid off!)
- A few vinyl records that sold faster than expected
👉 Average profit per item: $17.32
👉 Goal: $500
👉 Reality check: I didn’t hit that number, and I didn’t list daily like I planned—but I still moved inventory and made real progress.
In June, I earned a total of $556.46 from side hustles—$210 from consulting and $346.46 from reselling 20 items, including vinyl records and books from last year’s estate sale haul.
🛍️ Cashback & Passive Earners:
While not cash in hand yet, I also accumulated:
- $10 in Ibotta
- $20 in Rakuten
I’m not able to cash these out yet (waiting on payout period or minimums), but I’m tracking them as part of my slow-build income stack.
🧠What I Learned:
- Don’t sleep on old inventory—books and records from last year finally sold
- Listing consistently really does move the needle (so I need to get back on track)
- Focus groups and studies are an underrated way to earn gift cards and PayPal cash
🎯 Goals for July:
- ✅ List more consistently—daily if possible
- âś… Discount stale listings to move old inventory
- âś… Hit $500 from reselling alone
- âś… Apply to more focus groups/studies (great return for minimal time)
- âś… Track cashback sites monthly to build passive wins
