Let’s be real—balancing a full-time job, multiple side hustles, and real life isn’t always pretty. But it is possible with structure, intention, and a little sacrifice. I wanted to give you a behind-the-scenes look at what a typical weekday looks like for me and how I’m using every pocket of time to make progress toward my financial goals—especially paying off debt.
⏰ My Weekday Schedule (Mon–Fri)
6:00–6:30 AM | Wake Up & Morning Routine
Even though I work from home, I treat my mornings with purpose. I wake up by 6:00 or 6:30 AM, walk my dog, eat a quick breakfast, and get ready for work. Since I often have video calls on Microsoft Teams, I make sure to look put together—at least from the waist up 😄
7:00 AM–4:00 PM | Full-Time Job
My work hours are 7–4 with an hour lunch and two 10-minute breaks. I use those breaks to give my dog attention—quick walks or play sessions. At lunch, I eat something I’ve meal-prepped (huge time saver!) and take care of business: packing reselling orders, dropping off packages at the Post Office, or meeting a local buyer for a sale.
🕓 After 4 PM: Hustle Mode
4:00–5:30 PM | Unwind & Dog Time
After clocking out, I allow myself a small break. I might watch a little TV and take my dog out for a longer walk or even a trip to the park. It’s his time—and mine to decompress a bit before diving into side hustle mode.
5:30–9:00 PM | Side Hustles: Consulting + Reselling
This is where the real grind kicks in. My evenings often include:
- Consulting Work (1–2 hours): I either meet with clients in person or work remotely on ongoing projects.
- Reselling: For June, I’m committed to posting daily on platforms like eBay, Facebook Marketplace, and OfferUp. This includes:
- Finding items to sell around the house
- Taking photos and writing descriptions
- Researching comps and pricing
- Refreshing stale listings
- Prepping anything that sells
🎯 My goal: Sell 30 items this month, or average one per day.
📱 Micro Tasks That Add Up
In between tasks or during slower moments, I multitask with micro-income activities:
- Check Rakuten before any online purchase for cashback
- Log into Lolli daily to collect free Bitcoin (no purchase required!)—especially with prices climbing lately, I’m holding it for future value
- Scan receipts with Fetch to earn points toward gift cards
- Submit screeners for research studies and surveys
- Use Debbie, a new app where I earn money while learning about debt payoff (currently at $42—almost ready to cash out!)
🛋️ Weekends: Hustle + Rest + Life Balance
Weekends are a little more flexible, and honestly—thank goodness.
I use this time to:
- Put in extra hours for consulting work
- Tackle bigger reselling tasks
- Take product photos or prep for sales
- Reorganize inventory and plan content
- Try to connect with friends and family
- Sleep in a bit and give my body a break 💤
It’s also when I reset, regroup, and plan for the week ahead. I’m not always perfectly balanced, but I try to be intentional with how I spend my time.
✨ Why I’m Sharing This
I wanted to show that progress doesn’t have to be perfect. My days are full, but they’re structured around my priorities—financial freedom, paying off debt, and building a better future for myself (and my pup 🐾).
Whether you’re juggling your own business, raising a family, or just trying to figure out how to do “all the things,” you’re not alone.
